MARCH 2020

Vaughn Henson
As I sit writing this letter, I am taken aback by all the changes and challenges we have had to face over the last two months. It seems that as each day unfolds so do new developments and obstacles needing our attention. So, it is quite prideful to see how our reman community is stepping up to take care of family, neighbors, and local communities.

While we do not know exactly how long the COVID-19 pandemic will last, we do know that this will pass, and we will get back to work. During

this time, it is important that we take prudent steps so that we are prepared for the recovery phase of this event. This is an opportune time to "ramp up" improving your workforce potentially at all levels. Encourage employees to complete critical training or renew professional certifications, many of which can be accomplished online or at home.

Upon returning to work our clients, either internal or external, will be facing challenges in restarting their facilities. Now would be a good time for us to start planning on how we will be ready to help them succeed and get back to full capacity. We can start by strengthening our "networks" including friends, family, work colleagues, our business connections and members of groups to which we belong including RIC. Our upcoming Reman Day on April 9, 2020, provides a virtual opportunity to network and exchange best practice knowledge, learn about the business techniques of our peers and stay abreast of the latest industry developments.

This unfortunate and unexpected event will pass, and we will get back to work in a flourishing worldwide economy. Remember that we are in this together and will get through this together. I hope everyone remains healthy and safe.

Regards,

Vaughn Henson

Chairman

Steps to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19
  • Regularly and thoroughly clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand gel or wash them with soap and water for a minimum of 20 seconds.
  • Practice social distancing and maintain at least 6 feet between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
  • Make sure you, and the people around you, follow good respiratory hygiene. This means covering your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze. Then dispose of the used tissue immediately.
  • If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention and call your healthcare provider in advance.
