What are the unique challenges about remanufacturing this product?
Floor care products have inherent challenges related to environmental use, so the inspection and cleaning processes are key in the remanufacturing of this product. Additionally, the unit incorporates a mixture of plastics ranging from clear to white to grey and green. Ensuring that the visible surfaces meet the remanufacturing standards created by the Cleva North America team is critical. Finally, the unit is powered by a 25V lithium-ion battery that must be cycled to ensure proper charge/discharge and use time.
How do you implement the remanufacturing ANSI standard, ANSI/RIC001.1-2016, in your process?
The key to our process is core collection and management. As the products are returned from retailer consolidated return centers, working with the consolidators to handle the product safely and limit the amount of damage related to transportation. ARC works closely with the client quality team to ensure that each step of RIC001.1-2016 is followed.
Where do you obtain core?
The core is collected at retailer consolidation centers and shipped to ARC via LTL or truck load.
What is the cost advantage of reman vs. new?
End-user customers save on average 25-35% from the cost of new for this product.
Does the remanufactured version of this product carry a different warranty than the new version?
The remanufactured product carries a like-new, one-year warranty.
How can someone find these products to purchase them remanufactured? The remanufactured goods are redistributed through approved independent vacuum dealers across the US. To locate an independent vacuum dealer near you, simply Google Independent Vacuum Dealer near me or visit www.vdta.com for more information.
